Finally it is completed. I am quite happy with it. And here is what it looks like in-game.

I wanted the area to feel dirty and dark but the mood of the scene is red and orange style to feel you are welcome to eat here.

WIP env texture done


It looks too detailed now. I will tweak that with lighting. Tomorrow I will fix it and add some cgfx shaders to look more cooler.

Building an env from scratch


Here is a concept of how it would look like after 3d work and stuff. I have 3 weeks to do it. Reason is to put it into portfolio and show it to game companies in future.

This env is kinda mixed with chinatown,bladerunner and unreal style. I wanna have a not to dark and not to light scene but it should be dirty and sci fi kind. My goal is to have same quality as GOW.

I cant do any mattepainting anymore if...


It is becoming worse then I ever thought. I thought I could spend some time do some mattepaintings but I dont have time spending in game project at school. I am trying to find some space to do but they maximum are 1h. So I have only afford with sketch and speedpaints.

Here is the result







I am quite happy with it. Finished it for a couple of hourse ago. I hope my presentation will go well next week. I will be putting this into my portfolio. So far I have worked with it for almost 2 weeks. And this is my first character too^^






Still sculpting the details over the weekend


So far it is good. But it wasnt planned to do it all wrong. I should have a better modell but now it is mess just because zbrush crashed 12 times to not open a ztl file. I decided to begin all over again and now it worked. So it is something wrong with ztl file I dont know.
